Hi! (waves)

*I have become seriously addicted to Spike and Buffy fanfic. It's almost on the same level as the obsession I had with Bosco/Faith (sniff...memories) fic.   The only problem with S/B is that majority of the stories I come across are really, REALLY, long so once I start reading them, I can't stop, and when I'm done...at least 3 hours have passed. But I can't really complain because the stories are just sooooooo damn good.  I love that ship.

*Nothng much new to report in real life. I have my best friend's graduation from her master's tomorrow, so I have the day off of work. I should be getting to bed soon since I have to wake up at 7am, but I'm still drinking my tea.

TV stuff.

*Does anyone on my flist watch Entourage? It's such a happy little show.  I ordered the first 2 seasons on DVD since I just started watching it toward the end of last season. I haven't watched them yet of course, since they're just sitting on my shelf along with Firefly, and the first seasons of Prison Break and The Office. I'm better off waiting until all the season finales of all my shows are over, so I could have things to watch over the summer.

*We had some nice Lilly/Scotty scenes in the season finale of Cold Case. Just when I thought I lost complete interest in that partnership, I got suckered right back in. "Hey."

Celebrity Gossip:

*Aw, poor wittle Paris Hilton might go to jail for breaking the law, and is now having a petition opposing it sent to Arnold Schwarzenegger (since he has nothing else better to being the Governor of California and all). I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone, but I'm just so sick of her and her spoiled nonsense. Grow up.

**Nic and Leigh....I'll be emailing you guys shortly :) :) *Hugs*

*This is from today's Gawker Stalker:

Saw James Marsters ("Spike" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame) filming with Hilary Swank and Gerald Butler in the East Village. They are filming PS I Love You. Marsters now has brown hair and I have to say looks gorgeous as ever but I really liked him better as a blonde. A group of students from NYU were in fan heaven. The boys were happily signing autographs!

Due to the fact my obsession/crush/love with James Marsters is currently at it's peak, I -need- to meet this man.  I will go on Gawker Stalker every 10 minutes if I have to, or just take a nice little daily walk around the village. Hey, I didn't start working yet, so I have some time to kill. Tomorrow morning I'm starting my research, and I'm going to try and find out filming locations.

And look at him! (Points to icon) Isn't he pretty? And when he was Spike....(sighs).  I couldn't see that role belonging to anyone else but James.

*Speaking of BtVS, I have two episodes left of the seventh and final season, and I can't bring myself to watch them yet. I just love this show -so-much, I don't want my viewing of "new episodes" to end.  I'm glad  the Angel DVDs are being re-released slimmer and cheaper in November so I could watch the entire series.

**Edited to Add: Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lisa Kudrow are also in the movie.  I swear, it's just sounding better and better.

*I need to stop watching BTvS before I go to sleep at night. Last week I had a dream that Godzilla and King Kong were let loose, and I was looking for Buffy to save the day. And just last night I dreamt that I was playing therapist to Buffy and Spike, and urging her to reveal her love for him.

Anyway.

*Veronica Mars - I love this show! It has snappy dialogue and fun characters. I've only seen 2 episodes, but it's definitely on my must-see list.

*Ugly Betty - Okay, this is definitely my favorite 'new' show of the season. Betty's this sweet, naive, but incredibly smart girl who goes after what she wants. And she's not a pushover which is even better. I was afraid she would be the type of character who lets people step all over but she's not at all.

*Studio 60 - I feel bad that the ratings for this show keep dropping, and I'm actually kind of surprised. It's quite good and the writing seems pretty solid. Plus it's Matthew Perry. How could you turn him off?

*Battlestar Galactica - I watched half of the season premiere, and I really liked it. Definitely dark and kind of creepy, which I like. Even my mother was enjoying it and she hates Sci-Fi. Good Stuff.

*I heard Alan Ball is making a new show about vampires. It's called True Blood and I think it's premiering on HBO next fall. I would -love- to catch that. After American Beauty and Six Feet Under, I think he's an absolute writing genius.

How I've been spending my unemployed time:

It hasn't sunk in yet that I'm not working. It feels as if I'm just on vacation, especially since the girl who replaced me emails or calls me when she has a question. It's just a weird feeling.

Now for the TV Talk:

*Bones - I was a little hesitant about the show this season, especially since I heard they were bringing a new boss in....but I think I'm more in love with it this time around. The acting and characters are getting stronger, and the storylines are more interesting (last season the cases used to confuse me, but this time, I'm actually able to follow them).  And just as long as the new boss doesn't take screen time away from the 'squints' , I could like her sticking around.  She brings another dynamic to the Booth/Brennan relationship...I love watching Booth defend Brennan, and Brennan standing up to herself to Cam.

David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel totally tease the audience with their behavior, and I'm loving every single minute of it :)  And the writers know what they're doing when they're teasing us, and they're doing it deliciously well.

*I CAN NOT wait until Grey's Anatomy comes back on. I actually haven't been reading that many spoilers on it because with that show....the spoilers make it sound like a sleazy soap opera, but when you actually watch it, the storylines are just so well done. I'd rather be surprised this time around.

*I'm so addicted to my Buffy DVDs, that's it's becoming annoying. My day doesn't feel complete unless I watch at least one episode.  I'm halfway through Season 4, and since that runs with the first season of Angel, I've been watching that as well.  I can't get over how -good- these two show are. What was I thinking not watching them when they were still on?

I finally finished the Farscape saga…

…just in time to fall in love with another show…

Life update:

*My skin has been breaking out really bad lately, and my face is constantly red. To the point where I feel like it looks puffy, and make-up just looks really bad on me. And last night we went for happy hour after work, because one of my co-workers resigned. I almost didn’t want to go because we were going to an outdoor bar, and I didn’t want the sunlight emphasizing my skin. Pretty stupid, huh? It’s just that my face feels irritated as it is, and I’m really self-conscious about it. I’m going to the dermatologist on Tuesday to see what I could do for it.

*I finally signed up for that Taekwondo class I’ve been wanting to go to. My first one is on Tuesday night. Can’t wait! I hope I enjoy it.

*I have been trying to get this entry posted since 8pm. However, my internet doesn't like to work when there's a thunderstorm. So I killed time by watching Friends reruns. I forgot how good that show could be.

I also decided to type up this entry on MS word, and then just paste it onto LJ once my internet service was working again. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't that easy. The layout of the entry, and the fonts kept screwing up. Loss of patience and a sore hand later, LJ finally cooperated. Just in time for bed. Nighty night.
