Random TV thoughts for the Week

*Dexter - Anyone on my flist watch this? Because it gives me knots in my stomach every time, especially since I never want to see Dexter get caught. Ever. I don't know what that says about me as a person.

*30 Rock - my new favorite show. But I have a tendency to fast-forward through the scenes that Tina Fey and/or Alec Baldwin aren't in. I don't mind the supporting cast, but they don't grab me the same way Liz Lemon and her quirky ways do.

*True Blood - there are so many things wrong/annoying/gross with this show, I can't even begin to list them. Yet, I still enjoy watching it. I blame the marathon I got stuck watching on Thanksgiving at my mother's friends house. Now I'm sort of hooked. I guess my love for all things vampire is stronger than I thought.

*Desperate Housewives - Okay, who is that little munchkin that plays MJ, Mike and Susan's son? I want to take him home with me! He's so freakin' cute!! *Reaches into TV and squishes his sweet little face*

*Grey's Anatomy - McSteamy is really good-looking. Seriously, it looks like his face was drawn to perfection by a really talented artist. And Dr. Bailey is a great character. Aside from Alex, I think she's the best written one on the show.

*House - Cuddy and House. Hot, hot, hot!

*Beverly Hills 90210 - I watch the original ones on Soap Net, and Jason Wiles is currently on as Colin. I can't believe how young he looks! Watching him on TV made me so nostalgic for Third Watch all over again.

*Mad Men - I miss you. That is all.

Seriously?

Remember all the squeeing and rekindled love I've had for Grey's Anatomy this season? Um, well....I'm about to take it all back.

Anyway.

In other TV news (without mentioning spoilers because I'm too lazy to make an LJ cut) the scene in last night's 'Bones' with a certain character shoving another character off a chair...was one of the most delightful things I've ever seen. I practically giggled my way off the couch.

I know, it's been forever since I posted. I've been traveling (Vegas and LA were AWESOME....more details later) and I've been working a lot or hours (which is good because overtime is always lovely).

I just had to post this teensy little spoiler about Bones:

http://community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-Editors-Blog/Ausiello-Report/Exclusive-Look-Booth/800027771

Enjoy if you haven't already heard about it :) Times like these I have a love/hate relationship with spoilers because I start to think crazy thoughts as to how the episode plays out!

Now I'm off to sleep.
James Marsters on Without a Trace :) :) :) :)

Courtesy of Michael Ausiello:

Now this is what I call a bloody brilliant piece of casting.

James Marsters is joining Without a Trace as a character named — get this — Detective Mars. I kid you not. Marsters himself confirms it on his website.

As I revealed in this week's Ask Ausiello, Det. Mars will be brought in to investigate a human-trafficking ring. The role is recurring, but I hear there's definite series-regular potential.

Pretty fraktastic, eh?

I personally don't watch Without A Trace, but I think it's a nice time to start :) :)

"Talk to me, squints. As close to English as possible."

* I need to find a boyfriend who would look at me the way Booth looked at Brennan when she made him the mac and cheese. (That scene and the entire episode was making me really hungry by the way).

* I also need to find a boyfriend (could be the same one) who does romantic and unique things like Hodgins spelling out "Be My Love" with glow-in-the-dark shrimp. My eyes actually filled up with tears. Such a great, wonderful moment for the two of them.

And I also loved the bonding moments between Angela and Brennan. They have such a great friendship, despite how different they are. Brennan closes herself off so much, but I think now she's really starting to realize it. I felt bad for her.

Other lines that made me giggle:

"How long have you two been going out?" And then they bumped helmets.

"I'd back down if I were you. He shot a clown once."

Booth regarding the hilarious murder renactment "ok,what are we missing here?" In which, Cam dryly responds, "the stooges?"

LOVED this episode!

Mini-Update

Hi! (waves)

*I have become seriously addicted to Spike and Buffy fanfic. It's almost on the same level as the obsession I had with Bosco/Faith (sniff...memories) fic. The only problem with S/B is that majority of the stories I come across are really, REALLY, long so once I start reading them, I can't stop, and when I'm done...at least 3 hours have passed. But I can't really complain because the stories are just sooooooo damn good. I love that ship.

*Nothng much new to report in real life. I have my best friend's graduation from her master's tomorrow, so I have the day off of work. I should be getting to bed soon since I have to wake up at 7am, but I'm still drinking my tea.

TV stuff.

*Does anyone on my flist watch Entourage? It's such a happy little show. I ordered the first 2 seasons on DVD since I just started watching it toward the end of last season. I haven't watched them yet of course, since they're just sitting on my shelf along with Firefly, and the first seasons of Prison Break and The Office. I'm better off waiting until all the season finales of all my shows are over, so I could have things to watch over the summer.

*We had some nice Lilly/Scotty scenes in the season finale of Cold Case. Just when I thought I lost complete interest in that partnership, I got suckered right back in. "Hey."

Celebrity Gossip:

*Aw, poor wittle Paris Hilton might go to jail for breaking the law, and is now having a petition opposing it sent to Arnold Schwarzenegger (since he has nothing else better to being the Governor of California and all). I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone, but I'm just so sick of her and her spoiled nonsense. Grow up.

**Nic and Leigh....I'll be emailing you guys shortly :) :) *Hugs*

Oh dear me, Alex is hot. How edible did he look tonight with those biceps and that smirk?

Laura, I hope you make some icons, because gah, there were way too many picture perfect shots of him tonight. No pressure or anything (smiles innocently)

This episode was pretty much perfect. Except for that teeny little Addison/Mark scene. I've tried, but I can't warm up to his character. I'm hoping that changes as the show goes on, but right now...there's nothing.

Mark honey, she was thinking about Alex. Not you. (Um, maybe she wasn't, but I'd like to think she was).

But lets get to the good stuff on why I loved this episode:

*"She's Callie O'Malley"

*Addison salivating over delicious Alex, and Callie catching on to it.

*I like that Callie and George got married in Vegas. For some reason, I felt like it suited them.

*Christina and Burke getting engaged. I'm not 100 percent emotionally involved with them, but I love how it happened. Cute scene.

*Meredith and her mom. So heartbreakingly sad, and I don't care what anyone says about Meredith: She played good tonight, and I felt for her throughout the whole episode.

*Bailey and the little girl.

I know there's more, but I can't remember. All I could say right now is I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!

TV and very mini update

*So Isaiah Washington checked himself into rehab. (Rolls eyes). Since I have nothing nice to say about this man at the time being, I think I'll just be moving on.

*I miss Bones. What it's been, 6 weeks since our last new episode? I'm so excited about it coming back Wednesday, and Michael Ausiello's column is making me look forward to it even more:

Question: Have you heard anything about Bones?— Marisa Navarro

Ausiello: Big scoop straight from Emily Deschanel: Former Hugh Laurie sidekick Stephen Fry is doing a multi-episode arc as a shrink. "[Booth] goes a little nutso, does something bad and is given mandatory therapy," Emily told me Saturday night at Fox's press-tour party. As a result, Booth and Brennan "get separated, and that's when I have to work with" new recurring guest star/love interest Eddie McClintock. Booth eventually returns to the fold, but his jealousy over Brennan's new crush lands them both on Fry's couch. "We end up going to couples therapy with Stephen Fry because we're not working well together." Emily also confirmed that her pa, Oscar-nominated cinematographer Caleb Deschanel, will helm Bones' penultimate episode in May. "I won't have any kissing scenes in that episode. I requested that," she laughed. "Could you imagine?" No, but I bet Joe Simpson could.

*I just finished watching the 3rd season of Angel over the weekend:

The season as a whole was -okay-. There were definitely some great moments, but overall it wasn't the finest bunch of episodes I've seen.

Likes:

*The return of Darla and the way she sacrificed herself for Connor. Love her.

*Wesley sleeping with Lilah. I'm sorry, the two of them just amuse me.

*Connor - I know this is a bad one, but you have to feel sorry for the kid. Raised in a hell dimension, son of two vampires, turned against his own father, etc. And yes, he locked Angel in a box at the bottom of the ocean (which was really difficult to watch by the way), but he honestly thought Angel killed his father. And the kid knows nothing but violence, so it's hard to really hate him.

He kind of reminds me of a male Dawn, with all the issues he's got going on in his head. The two of them should meet one day for lunch.

*Angel Vs. Wesley - I liked the tension it created. Even if it did cause Angel to try and smother Wesley with a pillow.

Dislikes:

*Gunn and Fred - Most. Annoying. Couple. Ever. Pancake kiss? Ugh. And Fred with her giggling and squeaky voice? Double ugh.

*The way each character feels the need to summarize the previous episode and the episode before that in at least two scenes of every single episode. I understand if they were trying to get new viewers in, but it's really annoying.

*That it was never fully explained how Darla became pregnant with Angel's child, since it's 100 percent impossible for vampires to conceive. And other plot holes that didn't make much sense.

*Cordelia and Angel missing their chance when he got thrown into the ocean, and she decided to become a "higher being."

*Squee for Veronica Mars last night!

The Logan/Veronica kiss was just the perfect I've missed you kiss. But I like that other guy too....the hottie with the long hair. He just looked so crushed when he saw that Logan and Veronica were back together.

*Does anyone on my flist watch Friday Night Lights? I'm falling a little bit more in love with it each week.

*My cable isn't working, and a tech won't be able to come out until next week. (Sniff).

*I went to my martial arts class today for the first time in weeks. I was nervous to go back because of how I couldn't finish the class the last time, but today was really good :) I forgot how much I missed it.

Another week? (whines)

I knew it. I knew Alex and Addison were going to get interupted. In the promos, they kept showing their lips -almost- touching, but not quite there. (sighs in frustration). But you know what? It's okay because it builds the tension :) And then Alex getting the vanille latte for Mark, on purpose, because he was rude to her...

~melts~

Great episode...kind of a slow build up, but I loved it overall regardless.

Other highlights:

*Bailey and Callie's "stare-down"
*Meredith hugging George when he kept saying "he's my dad." He played -so- good there.
*Izzie finally depositing the check. I liked how she snapped at the bank teller, and then went back to sobbing again.
*The snoring. I thought that was really funny.

And next week's previews? Wow. I can not -wait- until that confrontation between Mark and Addison. It's clear now that Addison had an abortion...was it during the time she split up from Derek or was it recently? And when she said to him in tonight's episode that she was sorry Mark was hurting..was it because of that or for breaking up with him? It's been so long since the last new episode, that I don't remember how it was left off between the two if them.

Grey's Anatomy

I love Dr. Alex Karev. LOVE him.

*How cute was Alex talking to the baby in the operating room??? And yay, he actually seemed to have a legit storyline and some character development going on. *Loves*

*And what's McSteamy's deal? The hot shot plastic surgeon attitude is grating on my nerves a little. Dude, you're not Christian Troy.

*I didn't like the storyline with Derek's sister. It didn't do anything for me.

*Poor Dr. Bailey.

*George calling Addison "Dr. Montgomery-Shephard" to the pregnant patient's fiance, and then correcting his mistake. That delivery was done so well, I couldn't help but wonder if it was a blooper that the writers decided to leave in. Either way, it was perfect.

*I liked Callie a lot in tonight's episode. Her character is much more appealing when she's not George's girlfriend. And her speech to him at the end about "catching her?" Good one. I also liked how she described herself as "living in the basement," and wearing last night's eyeliner to work. It made her seem real.

*Derek and the Chief bonding over a button *chuckles*

*Elevator scene with 'George as Christina' and 'Meredith as Izzie'. Ha.

Diary of an Obsessed Fan

*This is from today's Gawker Stalker:

Saw James Marsters ("Spike" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame) filming with Hilary Swank and Gerald Butler in the East Village. They are filming PS I Love You. Marsters now has brown hair and I have to say looks gorgeous as ever but I really liked him better as a blonde. A group of students from NYU were in fan heaven. The boys were happily signing autographs!

Due to the fact my obsession/crush/love with James Marsters is currently at it's peak, I -need- to meet this man. I will go on Gawker Stalker every 10 minutes if I have to, or just take a nice little daily walk around the village. Hey, I didn't start working yet, so I have some time to kill. Tomorrow morning I'm starting my research, and I'm going to try and find out filming locations.

And look at him! (Points to icon) Isn't he pretty? And when he was Spike....(sighs). I couldn't see that role belonging to anyone else but James.

*Speaking of BtVS, I have two episodes left of the seventh and final season, and I can't bring myself to watch them yet. I just love this show -so-much, I don't want my viewing of "new episodes" to end. I'm glad the Angel DVDs are being re-released slimmer and cheaper in November so I could watch the entire series.

**Edited to Add: Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lisa Kudrow are also in the movie. I swear, it's just sounding better and better.

Mini TV Update

*I need to stop watching BTvS before I go to sleep at night. Last week I had a dream that Godzilla and King Kong were let loose, and I was looking for Buffy to save the day. And just last night I dreamt that I was playing therapist to Buffy and Spike, and urging her to reveal her love for him.

Anyway.

*Veronica Mars - I love this show! It has snappy dialogue and fun characters. I've only seen 2 episodes, but it's definitely on my must-see list.

*Ugly Betty - Okay, this is definitely my favorite 'new' show of the season. Betty's this sweet, naive, but incredibly smart girl who goes after what she wants. And she's not a pushover which is even better. I was afraid she would be the type of character who lets people step all over but she's not at all.

*Studio 60 - I feel bad that the ratings for this show keep dropping, and I'm actually kind of surprised. It's quite good and the writing seems pretty solid. Plus it's Matthew Perry. How could you turn him off?

*Battlestar Galactica - I watched half of the season premiere, and I really liked it. Definitely dark and kind of creepy, which I like. Even my mother was enjoying it and she hates Sci-Fi. Good Stuff.

*I heard Alan Ball is making a new show about vampires. It's called True Blood and I think it's premiering on HBO next fall. I would -love- to catch that. After American Beauty and Six Feet Under, I think he's an absolute writing genius.

Unemployment

How I've been spending my unemployed time:

*On Saturday, I had my 'graduation' for my Taekwondo class to advance to the next belt level. And yay, I passed :) so I went from a white belt to a yellow belt. The graduation consisted of 150 push ups (seriously, I thought I was going to cry), jumping exercises (I hate jumping) and a review of all the punches and kicks we learned, including their combinations. The last thing we had to do was break a wooden board by kicking it. That was definitely the best part :)

*On Sunday, I went shopping because I needed shoes for my cousin's christening. I found a really nice pair from Aldo's and I think I'm in love.

*Monday was the first day of my writing class. It's definitely intense because from it looks like, I have to write one article per week. Our first assignment is a personal essay, and I'm sitting here with a blank document in front of me. We have to write about a unique personal experience, and the only thing I could think of is writing a travel essay about Greece this summer. I just want to put a humorous spin on it, which I probably could since there was plenty of things that happened I could easily mock :)

I like it though. I just need more practice obviously and a better muse. Also, there's Young Adult writing workshop they're offering as well that I have my eye on. The only thing that's a problem is the first day of that workshop is on the last day of my current class. There's also an online version of that class that starts October 4th but I'm not sure if I want that one. I have to submit a writing sample to apply, and I don't think I'll have time to write one up by then. Oh, l_squaredd andgillian37, let me know if you're interested in any information about the courses. I could send you the link :)

And maybe this doesn't matter, but I love the area my class is in. I'm right smack in the middle of the village, so it stays pretty busy. My class goes from 7-10 at night so I wouldn't want to be in a quiet back alley somewhere.

*On Tuesday, I got to meet orison75 in person :) :) We met up in midtown and spent the day together walking around the city (the weather was -gorgeous- yesterday) and going in and out of the stores. We also met up with monack for lunch :) Guys, it was great hanging out yesterday, and I can't wait until we could see each other again :)

It hasn't sunk in yet that I'm not working. It feels as if I'm just on vacation, especially since the girl who replaced me emails or calls me when she has a question. It's just a weird feeling.

Now for the TV Talk:

*Bones - I was a little hesitant about the show this season, especially since I heard they were bringing a new boss in....but I think I'm more in love with it this time around. The acting and characters are getting stronger, and the storylines are more interesting (last season the cases used to confuse me, but this time, I'm actually able to follow them). And just as long as the new boss doesn't take screen time away from the 'squints' , I could like her sticking around. She brings another dynamic to the Booth/Brennan relationship...I love watching Booth defend Brennan, and Brennan standing up to herself to Cam.

David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel totally tease the audience with their behavior, and I'm loving every single minute of it :) And the writers know what they're doing when they're teasing us, and they're doing it deliciously well.

From kellylu: Any scoop on Bones?
"It's back and better than ever! This season, Booth and Brennan are going to have to deal with a face from their past when Howard Epps, the man whose execution they got delayed, is suspected of killing again, even though he is still behind bars. Also, they investigate the death of a man who had several wives. After the show returns from the baseball hiatus, we get to see Brennan and Booth in Vegas, where he struggles not to gamble, and they are forced to pretend to be a couple!"

Sounds like it's been ripped out of the fanfiction archive doesn't it? Squee!

*I CAN NOT wait until Grey's Anatomy comes back on. I actually haven't been reading that many spoilers on it because with that show....the spoilers make it sound like a sleazy soap opera, but when you actually watch it, the storylines are just so well done. I'd rather be surprised this time around.

*I'm so addicted to my Buffy DVDs, that's it's becoming annoying. My day doesn't feel complete unless I watch at least one episode. I'm halfway through Season 4, and since that runs with the first season of Angel, I've been watching that as well. I can't get over how -good- these two show are. What was I thinking not watching them when they were still on?
Week in Review
*I just got back from a 3 day camping trip a few hours ago.
I had a good time, even though the weather wasn't wonderful. It poured the first night we were there, and it was freezing the next (considering it was June, I felt as if it was a time warp back to February). Trying to fall asleep in a freezing tent wasn't easy. And my hair was wet from the rain the first night, and I had this vision of me catching pneumonia.

I have to admit, it was definitely nice being away from the city, and the group that I was with was a great bunch to go away with (it was a close friend of mine, and all of her friends). I just don't think I'm a camper girl at heart ;). Not being able to shower for 3 days is not something I'm used to. There were showers there, but they kind of skeeved me. The toilets were okay, but having to walk up a trail in the middle of the night to the bathroom cabin was honestly freaking me out. It's an actual campsite, so even though we weren't in the middle of nowhere, I still kept looking over my shoulder praying I wouldn't see a psycho killer or a hungry bear. It was pitch black, so I wasn't sure what would be hiding within the trees.

I did see a baby chipmunk (or maybe a baby bunny, I couldn't tell). Whatever animal it was, it sure was cute!

Overall, I had a good time. The weather was beautiful there today, and it was a fun experience in the great outdoors. But, I highly doubt that I'll go camping again ;). I'm too much of a neurotic!

My first Taekwondo class was on Tuesday :)

First off, I loved it. The instructors are friendly, the students seem nice, and the class itself is a lot of fun. The exercise is strenous though, and my body didn't fully recover until Saturday morning ;) I was sore in places that I didn't know existed. The instructors warned me about that though, since it was my first class, so I just took Advil and drank lots of water and Gatorade.

There was about 10 students in the class...3 girls including me and 7 boys. The boy I got paired up with just started taking classes also, so I felt a little better I wasn't paired up with an expert. There's a lot of kicking involved, and a lot of trying to keep my balance which I fail miserably at. I nearly tipped over like 18 times.

I have to say though...kicking is a lot easier when you're picturing someone that you don't like (smiles innocently).

I'm going back tomorrow just so I could give them the payments, and then I'm taking another class on Tuesday. They prefer if the student takes the classes 2x a week, so I might do a Tuesday and Wednesday schedule. I refuse to work out tomorrow, because Mondays I'm pretty much non-existent, so I think I should wait another day :)

*So I caved and ordered the Buffy DVDs from Barnes and Noble. Apparently, they were much cheaper online, and since they had the "buy 2 DVDs, get the 3rd one free sale," I thought it was money well spent. However, I made a promise to myself that I'm not buying any more DVDs for the rest of the summer. The next one I'm buying is Oz's final season in September and that's only because I've been waiting so long for it. Grey's Anatomy Season 2, Queer as Folk, and any other one of my favorites could wait until Christmas.

Laura, I'm so glad that you have some Angel episodes on the tapes as well. I never watched any of Angel, and I'm obviously not going to invest in any of the DVDs anytime soon. I know the reruns air on TNT every morning, so I may try to record them, but I'm not sure.

*I also went to the dermatologist this week. He pretty much just tossed a few creams at me, and told me to come back in 2 weeks. He was nice and everything, but I just feel that prescribed creams make my skin worse. However, he gave me a cleanser from Cetaphil, and my face is looking a little brighter.

Farscape, Buffy, and Life.

I finally finished the Farscape saga…

Thanks to fallen_horizons, I first rented a Farscape episode last July because I was curious to see what this wonderful show was that I kept hearing about ;). I can't believe it took me this long to watch all 4 seasons and the concluding mini-series. That took way longer that I thought it would!

From beginning to end, this show completely captured me and it was nothing short of a magical, wonderful journey with complex and heartfelt characters that I adored (even the evil aliens!). I know I may sound like a sap, but the sci-fi fantasy of it all, just made the story come alive.

The entire show was based entirely on fate, and of course, the relationship between John and Aeryn. Everything they did affected their shipmates, friends, and hundreds of lives through out the universe. Aeryn was definitely one of the most fascinating, complex characters I've ever come across, and is easily my favorite female lead. (Girl crush!) The way she changed from being a harsh, distant warrior to an emotional, loving person was done so realistically, as were the changes that John went through from being separated from Earth into the unknown, dangerous space.

John and Aeryn were in a constant struggle as one would push, and the other would pull. One would serve as a protector, while the other a leader. Finally at the end of the season 4, they reached their balance.

And what was also cool about the show was that -anything- was possible. Coming back from the dead, being cloned, etc. Since it's sci-fi, the way the impossible was played out made a lot more sense than a standard Days of Our Lives episode ;)

Oh, and on a concluding note, I thought I'd do a little bit of promotion. I'm posting a link to a website that has the top 25 John and Aeryn moments. The scenes might be confusing for those who haven't watched an episode, but it's fun promotion for me :) Plus, you get to see a few sneak peeks :)

http://www.johnaeryn.com/articles/2005/September/top.25.john.aeryn.moments.html

…just in time to fall in love with another show…

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of the few shows I’ve ever got sucked into after just watching one full episode. And I wished I had given it a chance when it was still on the air. I remember taping the premiere because I had loved the movie it was based on. But for some reason, I just couldn’t get into the show, and I never watched it again. Now it’s a totally different story. It’s –awesome-. And a perfect way to fill the fantasy-genre void that Farscape just left.

The bad news about getting addicted is that it’s a DVD worthy show. After watching the first 3 episodes, and bits and pieces of others, I want to own all 7 seasons of it. I mean, I have other shows that I need to watch weekly like Lost, House, Rescue Me, etc. But I don’t have the desire to own them. Buffy on the other hand has great dialogue and very addicting characters that I would like to take home with me :)

Unfortunately, I can’t afford to buy all 7 seasons (well actually 6 since l_squaredd sent me Season 3 :). The funny thing is, the day after I watched the first few episodes, TVGuide.com announced that Buffy DVDs are going at a reduced rate. They’re still expensive though, so I’m crossing my fingers they might go lower.

I even downloaded the song Rest in Peace that Spike sings to Buffy in the musical episode. I saw it on a youtube clip and I loved it :)

Laura, thank you so much for the tapes and getting me hooked :) I can't wait to watch the episodes you sent me :)

Life update:

*My skin has been breaking out really bad lately, and my face is constantly red. To the point where I feel like it looks puffy, and make-up just looks really bad on me. And last night we went for happy hour after work, because one of my co-workers resigned. I almost didn’t want to go because we were going to an outdoor bar, and I didn’t want the sunlight emphasizing my skin. Pretty stupid, huh? It’s just that my face feels irritated as it is, and I’m really self-conscious about it. I’m going to the dermatologist on Tuesday to see what I could do for it.

*I finally signed up for that Taekwondo class I’ve been wanting to go to. My first one is on Tuesday night. Can’t wait! I hope I enjoy it.

*I have been trying to get this entry posted since 8pm. However, my internet doesn't like to work when there's a thunderstorm. So I killed time by watching Friends reruns. I forgot how good that show could be.

I also decided to type up this entry on MS word, and then just paste it onto LJ once my internet service was working again. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't that easy. The layout of the entry, and the fonts kept screwing up. Loss of patience and a sore hand later, LJ finally cooperated. Just in time for bed. Nighty night.

My Two Finales

My shower is broken for the time being, so I'm stuck home for the afternoon. I'm a little annoyed since I want (need) to go shopping, so I'm just going to have to wait until tomorrow. Unfortunately, the weather forecast says thunderstorms for Sunday, so I don't know what I'll be doing.

So far, 2 of of my favorite shows had their season finales:

I don't even know where to begin...

One of my favorite scenes was when Dr. Webber was interrogating each of the interns individually. As he was talking to them, and getting a deeper glimpse into each of their lives...I just had this feeling that he wouldn't be kicking them out of the program. I could be wrong, but I feel that in his conversations with them, he saw them as actual people with complex lives, as opposed to bratty interns.

Also, my gut was telling me that Denny was going to die. Alex picking Izzie up and comforting her was the scene that made up for every mean thing he's ever said to her. It was absolutely perfect.

Other highlights:
-"Where are my suck-ups?"
- The shot of Izzie walking down the steps after she told Webber that she cut the chord. I love how they showed Alex and George walking down the steps right behind her.
- The Meredith/Derek/Addison/Finn quadrangle. I like Finn, and I love Addison, so the two of them just make that storyline much more intriguing.
-The dirty look Callie gave Derek after she caught him and Meredith.
-Christina and Burke. I was convinced Burke and her were going to break up in the finale, but the last scene with them told me otherwise.

Highlights:
-Dad's alive!
-Booth being annoyed that Brennan wouldn't let him read her book
-Brennan dedicating the book to Booth
-"Sometimes he's just...whew!" Angela, I couldn't agree more.
-Brennan telling Angela that she misses people caring about where she is, and then Booth calling out to her.
-When he called her 'Temperance' instead of 'Bones' because she just found her mother's remains.

Is it the fall season yet? And should I be worried that Fox plans on moving Bones to Friday in January? (Crosses fingers and toes that the show is safe)

*In other news, I got tickets for the American Idol tour :) The concert's in July and I'm so excited! Tickets went on sale this morning and of course I overslept because I went out last night. I was still able to find tickets, but ticketmaster kept rejecting my credit card. I then ended up losing the tickets they were holding for me. My friend from work called me in the midst of all this, and witnessed me yelling at my computer for missing out on the tickets for something so dumb.

Luckily the Idols will be in NY for more than one night, so I was able to find tickets and a credit card that ticketmaster approved of. Whew!

*As I mentioned before, I went out last night after work with my best friend to this nice restaurant here in Astoria. They have 2 for 1 drink specials on Friday nights for ladies, so I had a Coconut Mint Mojito. I was planning on having a second one, but one was more than enough. It was good, but the mixture of coconut flavoring and mint was a bit overpowering so I couldn't finish it.

I love exotic drinks :) They're more fun than my standard Corona or Bacardi Limon and Sprite. The only problem is that they are very hit-or-miss (not to mention expensive) so I don't drink them too often.

I want my Chris back :(

I went to a seminar tonight about how to reinvent yourself and change your career. I'll post more about it tomorrow since I'm about to go watch Bones and Lost. At least I have some good TV things to look forward to tonight.
